Knock Out Cancer was founded to raise funds and awareness in the fight against breast cancer, inspired by Janice Mannion’s courageous battle with the disease. Although Janice passed away in March 2016, her determination to continue the fight and beat cancer remains the driving force behind this impactful event.

Over the years, Knock Out Cancer has raised an impressive $250,000, with the majority of the funds benefiting the Jimmy Fund. The organization’s dedication has earned it a place in the Jimmy Fund Hall of Fame and the prestigious 2025 I Am Jimmy Award.

Each year, more than 100 participants—including girls, boys, women, and men—come together for fun basketball competitions and a valuable silent auction. The event is not just about raising money; it’s about building a community of support and having a great time while making a difference.

This year’s program runs from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on April 5th, 2025 and includes:

  • 5:00 – 6:00 PM: Middle and High School Knock Out and Hot Shot competitions
  • 6:00 – 7:00 PM: Adult Knock Out and Hot Shot competitions
  • 7:00 – 8:00 PM: Open Knock Out competition (all ages, including girls, boys, women, and men)
