Our shortened work-week will feel a little more winter like, with a few chances of snow showers, but still no major storms expected.
Here are three things to know about this week’s weather:
Windy Week
You’ll really notice the gusty winds this week, especially the first few days of the week.
A cold west wind will regularly gust 30-40+ MPH, so you’ll certainly want to bundle up if you plan on spending any time outside.
The winds will start to die down a bit after Wednesday.
Colder Air
So far, this month has been significantly warmer than average.
That gradually changes this week, in part because of that gusty wind.
Although high temperatures will be in the 40s to start the week, it will never feel that “mild” because of the busy breeze.
By the middle and end of the week daytime temperatures will stay stuck in the 30s, as the colder air filters in from the west.
A few Snow Showers
Many people are still yearning for a snowstorm. And, after all, this is usually the coldest time of the year, so that’s to be expected.
This week still doesn’t bring that chance.
However, a few weak disturbances will swing through late week, bringing the chance of a few snow showers at least.
For those looking for a bigger storm, there are some signs that the end of the month brings more hope, but only time will tell.
