In the holiday spirit – of health, happiness and the safety of Hingham residents – the Boy Scouts of Troop 1 Hingham will pick up your Christmas tree after the big day, and haul it to the Transfer Station for recycling. No fuss, no needles in your car, no waiting in line – let the Scouts do the work!
Over its 109-year history, Troop 1 Hingham has helped thousands of Hingham youth to experience new challenges and become leaders in the town, state and nation. And this year, we’re hoping to raise enough money to help put a new roof on the Scout House. Troop 1 continues to thrive, thanks to the ongoing support received from the many friends of Scouting in Hingham.
When
Tree collection will take place on Sunday December 29th, Sunday January 5th, and Saturday January 11th. A donation of $15 is much appreciated, and 100% of the funds raised go directly to support Hingham Scouts.
How
To be included in this year’s Tree Drive, please visit the website at http://HinghamTreeDrive.com or call 781-312-2405 to reserve your preferred day. We’re happy to announce we can accept online payment on our web site. Please place your tree and donation by the street by 8:00 a.m. that morning, and the Scouts will come by between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. that day to pick it up.
