The Trustees of Reservations (The Trustees) is offering people everything they need to prepare a locally-sourced, homemade holiday meal. In addition to offering locally farm-raised turkeys this year, The Trustees is also selling pre-made side dishes, freshly-baked goods, Trustees-Grown produce, charcuterie boards, and more.
Pre-ordered items will be available for pickup at Appleton, Chestnut Hill, Powisset, and Weir River Farms. Simply visit thetrustees.org/holidays and select the most convenient location for pickup by November 7, and all other sides by November 14.
The turkeys are sourced from Misty Knoll Farm, a family-owned and operated farm in Vermont where poultry is humanely raised and free range. Misty Knoll prioritizes raising their poultry with the utmost care, feeding them wholesome grain, free of antibiotics and animal by-products. They also farm with sustainable practices in mind.
Jess Wagoner, Culinary Program and Food Service Manager, bakes small batch, handcrafted, naturally leavened hearth bread made right in the Old House Kitchen at Appleton Farms. Each loaf is made exclusively with locally grown wheat, freshly milled by Ground Up Grain in Hadley, MA. The dough is made using a long fermentation process, which increases flavor, nutrition, and shelf life.
Trustees’ Chef Thi Bowles has prepared a delicious assortment of side dishes using only the best ingredients from Trustees Grown produce and other local farms. All sides are packaged cold and come with heating instructions.
The Trustees partnered with Iggy’s Bread, an all-natural bakery located in Cambridge, to offer Iggy’s Dinner Rolls at select Trustees farms and Maine Co. Pies, a bakery specializing in gluten-free pies.

The Trustees is making Thanksgiving meals as convenient, nutritious, and delicious as possible.”
