July 20, 2022 Submitted by The Wei River Water System
The Weir River Water System would like to notify residents that we are currently experiencing low water reserves in our storage tanks due to a radio communication failure caused by extreme heat. Although the issue was resolved we are urging residents to cease all non-essential water usage for the next 48 hours. Tank levels are critical to provide drinking water and maintain firefighting capabilities. We are asking residents to refrain from any outside watering including irrigation and car washing or playing in sprinklers. When possible, other helpful conservation efforts include delaying running laundry, taking shorter showers, only running dishwashers if they are full or using shorter washing cycles, and not letting faucets run when shaving, brushing teeth, or washing vegetables. We are grateful for everyone’s participation to ensure the health and safety of our community.
