It’s September and somehow the new must-have item on your “back-to-school” shopping list is a comfortable kid mask (or three or four)! We’ve surveyed some local parents to find a few favorite masks that are kid-approved and available locally. While Gators have been a summer mask choice for many local children and teens, it’s important to note that according to new guidelines Gators will not be allowed in Hingham Public Schools. So, it’s a good time to try out a few new masks and find the perfect fit for ultimate comfort this back to school year.
Acquire Good in Downtown Hingham has a large selection of children’s masks available for $11. Later this week they will also be getting a new stock of mask lanyards to help prevent losing your mask!
Started by a local Hingham family with a background in textiles, The Great Cover Up has kids masks available for purchase on their website and offers fast local delivery. They are currently having a sale with masks available for as low as $5 and they offer discounts for buying three or more!
Nantucket Kids at Derby Street Shops has adorable masks for kids in the preppiest/posh fabrics and they offer matching ones for adults too! Masks are available starting at $6.
The Old Navy at the Hingham Shipyard sells a variety of kids masks that are light and breathable in packages of five masks for $12. They have a range of colors and fabrics offering lots of choices for your little ones.

Need a place to store your new mask stash? Hingham’s own Bridier Baubles: The Monogram Shop has you covered with their new personalized mask pouches for $25 (which also make great teacher gifts!). MaskTrackers by Connor!
After misplacing his mask several times, Fifth Grader Connor Cease and his mom Amanda strategized the best way to keep track of their masks and ultimately decided to make MaskTrackers to help students, parents and teachers! Connor has been hard at work making MaskTrackers with his mom and after posting on Hingham Yardsale they have already received over 250 orders. The MaskTrackers are available in kid or adult sizes for $5 each and they are available in four colors: Black, Red, Turquoise and Pink. To order Venmo @amandacease with your color preference, size and color choice, and Connor will contact you when your order is ready for local pick-up. For an additional $3.80 MaskTrackers can be mailed via USPS (free shipping for order of six or more masks).
