Sure, you know that Pinot Noir pairs perfectly with the Thanksgiving meal but what other interesting wines add a level of excitement to the meal?  Below are some of our favorite wines to pair with the holiday bird!

Bereche & Fils Champagne Brut Reserve NV-This old Domaine was founded in 1847. Yet, it has been the innovative work of young Raphaël and Vincent Bérêche that has made this one of the most talked about Champagne houses among France’s sommeliers and connoisseurs. With lavish praise from wine writers and yours truly, the same is beginning to happen here in the United States!  Composed from approximately one-third each of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. A model of harmony, nuance and verve, it is a pure expression of the Domaine’s varied terroirs.

Nicolas Pointeau Chinon Blanc 2018-A “Wow” of a white wine made from 100% Chenin Blanc grown in the Loire Valley.  Super versatile as a pairing wine this unoaked white is a perfect match for the flavors on your Thanksgiving plate.

Crivelli Ruche di Castagnole Monferrato 2018-One of Kim-Marie’s favorite wines currently in the shop!  Hailing from Piedmont, one of my favorite regions, Ruchè is a beauty of an indigenous Piedmontese red variety, and Crivelli's is a must-try. An array of aromas to savor: roses, pepper, black cherries, and cinnamon. Lovely fresh acidity and a fine backbone of mineral make this a delicate wine to enjoy with your Thanksgiving meal.

Domaine Anita Fleurie 2017-Not to be confused with Beaujolais Nouveau this is the real deal!  Made from 100% Gamay grown in one of the top vineyards in Fleurie, this wine is elegant, conveying a floral character as well as an opulent backdrop of dark black fruits. A rich wine with concentration and dense tannins.  93 PTS Wine Enthusiast

La Ferme Des Sept Lunes Syrah/Gamay Organic 2018-New York Times #1 Wine for Thanksgiving 2019 and boy is this delicious!  A blend of 75% Syrah and 25% Gamay grown in the northern Rhone, which is organically farmed, all fruit is hand harvested.  The wine is aged in tank for 8 months and sees no oak.  The Ferme des Sept Lunes wines have an energy, freshness, and depth of flavor that have earned the farm a cult following!
