A large number of Hingham registered voters are wondering when they will receive their vote-by-mail ballots for the Nov. 3 state/presidential election and have turned to the Town Clerk's office for an answer.
"We haven’t received the ballots yet," Town Clerk Eileen McCracken told the Hingham Anchor. "We may receive them by the end of September, but at least by October 5 [the deadline for the ballots to reach local town clerk's offices]. The ballots will be mailed out to those who requested them once that occurs."
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, voting by mail is available to all registered voters. The recommended date to return an application for a vote-by-mail ballot is no later than Oct. 20, but voters are encouraged to submit their requests as soon as possible to ensure timely delivery of their ballots.
Completed applications may be emailed to TownClerk@hingham-ma.gov, mailed to the Town Clerk at 210 Central Street, Hingham MA, 02043, or dropped off in the drop box in the front circular driveway at Town Hall.
The deadline to register for the November election is Saturday, October 24.
